1842 EAST GREENLAND KAYAK REPLICA
This older-form high sterned East Greenland kayak was replicated from a survey I made in 2002. This kayak's lines also appear in John Brand's "The Little Kayak Book" Volume III (1988:85). This kayak measures 18'4-3/8" long, and 20-5/8" wide. It was launched in June of 2004. (A second replica of this kayak was finished in October, 2005). A scale drawing of this kayak appears in Kayaks of Greenland.
