INUPIAQ QAYAPAURAQ
--Little Kayak--

This is a replica of the Burke Museum's 1.2e1600, a North Alaskan kayak probably from the mid-20th century.
It is a very short kayak (10'1-5/8" long), and was used for retrieving seals shot from the shore or sea ice. The kayak's beam is 26-3/8". The lines of this kayak are published in "Kayaks of Alaska."
