1960 Aassiaat Kayak replica
This kayak was built from a drawing in P. Scavenius Jensen's "Den Grondlandske Kajak og den Redskaber" (1975:25). The kayak is from Aassiaat, and is not a 'collected' example, having been measured in the field. The chine breadths are not depicted on the survey drawing , so their placement is my own interpretation. This kayak measures about 15'3" long, 20-5/8" wide, and 8-1/2" deep to sheer.
